Dear Colleagues:

Attached are two advertisements for post-doctoral positions in my lab, both of which are funded by the Energy Biosciences Institute (http://www.energybiosciencesinstitute.org/).  I would very much appreciate it if you could forward these ads to potential applicants.

Thanks very much!!

Postdoctoral Scientist Position Open

A Postdoctoral Scientist position is available in a project to develop
molecular techniques for the analysis of dermatophytes, fungi that are the
causative agent of athlete’s foot and other fungal skin infections.
The Postdoc will optimize transformation protocols using three different
techniques (split marker, recombination deficient strains, and Agrobacterium
T DNA integration). S/he will also explore the use of invertebrates (wax
moths) and skin explants as models for the study of pathogenesis and
virulence.
The Postdoc will work closely with the genome sequences that are currently
being assembled and annotated. This project has the potential to serve as a
foundation for independent work with the dermatophytes.
The research will be conducted in the White lab at Seattle Biomedical
Research Institute. SBRI provides an exciting work environment and a
competitive compensation and benefits offering.

Requirements
Candidates with a Ph.D. and a strong background in molecular biology, and a
working knowledge of filamentous fungi or yeasts are encouraged to apply.
Experience working with filamentous fungi, yeast transformation, and insect
models are desired but not required.
